This pattern is very modern, and highly customizable. The simple colorwork can be knitted with as little as two colors–or as many as you want. I’ve even included instructions on how to customize your hat even more by adding your own motif between rows of chevron stripes!

This is a great pattern to try out if you are new to stranded colorwork (fair isle) knitting. The design may look complicated, but you will only ever be working with two strands of yarn at any given time, no matter how many colors you decide to use.
