This paw pad stocking is perfect for your dog or cat. I made it to resemble the regular Christmas stocking I made for my son in law, for their new pup. It measures 4.5x11”

The stocking contains a choice of two charted alphabets to customize it for your own pet. If you don’t want to do the name, just repeat some of the stripes and geometric strips to make up the length.

The body of the stocking is stranded colorwork in the round. The paw pad is worked flat in intarsia. You could work the base paw solid and duplicate stitch the pads after.

It can be made all in “standard” Christmas colors if you prefer. Remnants of red, green, and white will work well. 15-20 g of each will work.

Use sport, dk, or worsted weight yarn and larger needles to make a larger stocking.
