My crochet fox pattern is suitable for beginners, with simple instructions for hand sewing, color changes, surface crocheting and inconsistent increases from the magic circle. I’ll walk you through each step, and where necessary link you to separate tutorials, hopefully giving you a few new skills whilst you make up the fox toy. I’ll also use words as well as abbreviations to explain each step the first time it comes up. My design aims to highlight the most distinctive features of our natural native fox friends in a cute crochet fox pattern.

You’ll need the following:

6mm crochet hook
3.5mm crochet hook
20g black DK yarn
200g chunky orange yarn
100g cream merino wool DK yarn – use in double strands
Yarn needle
Stitch markers
Toy stuffing
Safety eyes

The yarns I used were red Knitcraft by Hobbycraft Everyday Chunky yarn, cream Sublime Yarns Extra Fine Merino Wool DK yarn, and Patons UK Fab DK yarn in Charcoal.
