Granny Squares? Not when they are this cute! With granny squares being seamed together to create everything from tops and tanks to tights and skirts, they are quickly losing that lame old 1970s reputation. Cute Girl Squares are a much more appropriate name for them! This slightly oversized tank with built in belt helps you bring these fun to crochet squares into your everyday wardrobe, and no one will be calling you Granny! Pick one color or go a little bolder with three color motif.

Finished Size 30 (38, 46, 54)” bust/chest circumference, with 2” of positive ease. Top shown Knit Picks Gloss Fingering in 38” and in Gynx Merino Sock/ Fingering in 30”.

Notes First thing’s first: You will be making a LOT of granny squares, weaving in their ends, and seaming them together with single crochet. A belt section is worked between circles of granny squares and a single crocheted belt is weaved in. Granny clusters are worked to complete the top of the tank.
