You can replace the catania with other materials. If you wish to make a larger or smaller version of this whale you can just use a thicker or thinner yarn/crochet hook.

This is a advanced beginner project.
You need to know how to do:

sc: single crochet
sl st: slip stitch
dec: decrease
inc: increase
and color changing.
