The (Almost) No-Sew Squid is worked from the 

top down as one entire piece. The only sewing that you have to do is the eyes and the end of the piece where to have to close the hole. Because there is little sewing, this is a good project for beginners.
This pattern can be made with any yarn as long as you use the right hook size.
