Special Notes: This pattern fits newborn to approximately 3 months.
This pattern is worked in rounds from the tip top to the brim. Pom-pom is added at the end

Materials:

• 4mm and 4.5mm crochet hook
• 2 skeins of worsted weight yarn in two different colors. (MC- main color/TC- trim color) I used Hobby Lobby’s I Love This Yarn in Turquoise and Grey Beard.
• Darning Needle
• Pom-pom maker of any kind

Stitches & Abbreviations:

• Beg- beginning
• ch- chain
• st(s)- stitch(es)
• sl st- slip stitch
• sc- single crochet
• dc- double crochet
• fpdc- front post double crochet
• bpdc- back post double crochet

Gauge: With 4mm crochet hook; ch 20, dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. (3 skipped chains counts as 1 dc) (18 dc) Ch 3, turn, dc in next st and in each st across. (18 dc) Repeat until you have 9 rows.
18 dc across X 9 rows high; should measure 4”X4”. Change hook size up or down to get correct gauge.
