Cutie Animal Blocks Baby Afghan: An Adorable Zoo
As filet crochet instructions can vary, along with personal preferences, I recommend googling “how to filet crochet” to find the technique that works perfectly with your unique style. This is a pattern chart only, with a basic how-to pdf added in a second file.
This beautiful afghan pack gives you a choice of options: ten different animal squares (bear, bunny, cat, dog, duck, lamb, owl, rooster, squirrel, swan), three different border options, and five different corner posts to choose from. It’s like getting ten full patterns in one pack! Pattern is given in both standard and inverted colors for ease of reading and working as not all readers display equally.
For the animal blocks:
Mesh count is 65w x 65h
Approximate finished sizes, and I do mean APPROXIMATE- your actual size may vary depending on how tight/loose your stitches are, and if you’ve used alternative stitches:
Size 30 thread and 11 hook: 13.5”w x 15”h (9’w x 10’h)
Size 20 thread and 9 hook: 14.25”w x 15.5”h (9.5’w x 10.5’h)
Size 10 thread and 7 hook: 15”w x 16.25”h (10’w x 11’h)
Size 5 thread and 4 hook: 17.5”w x 20.75”h (12’w x 14’h)
Worsted 4 ply yarn and F hook:
39”w x 39”h
For the setting square/corner post blocks:
Mesh count is 10w x 10h
