Cycling Cap
by Weldons
From Weldon’s Practical Knitter, Eighth Series. Page 9. Originally published circa 1888.
From the description:
This is a comfortable cap to wear when cycling or travelling, and is quite easy to make, as it is worked entirely in plain knitting.
The yarn called for is “2 ozs. of speckled brown Alloa wool,” and suggests needle size 12 (US 2; 2.75mm).
