The Cypress Beanie is a bulky fitted beanie that is gender neutral and easy to make. The pattern includes instructions for three sizes teen/adult small (head measuring 20”-22”), adult medium (21”-23”), and adult large (22”-24”). It also includes instructions for a solid beanie or a two color beanie.
It is worked from the bottom up and uses the popular moss/linen/woven/granite (are there more?) stitch for the top of the hat and half double crochet in the back loop for the ribbing.
You will need bulky weight 5 yarn or 2 strands of worsted or aran weight 4 yarn. If you are using a lighter weight 5 or two strands of worsted weight, you may need to make adjustments to meet gauge and your hat may be lighter weight with more open stitches.
Yarn pictured is Lion Brand Re Tweed in colors; perfect plum, sleet, and grapefruit
