Cypress Ridge Hat
Last summer, my family and friends went camping in Cypress Hills, SK. I absolutely loved the hills & valleys, and the massively tall lodgepole pines. I was reminiscing about that holiday while I designed this hat, and I love the way the cable and lace pattern mimics the scenery I remember.
Cypress Ridge is a quick project, taking just a few hours to complete. It needs just 50 - 60g of worsted weight yarn, but can also be made in DK if you want a snugger or smaller fitting hat. It’s great for beginners and experienced knitters alike!
• This pattern is One Size, but you can use smaller needles or a slightly smaller yarn to make it more snug if you prefer.
• Pattern includes BOTH written instructions and a chart.
• Written in US knitting terms
• Gauge is not critical. If you can’t match it, go with a smaller gauge, rather than larger. Any bigger, and the hat may look too loose.
• One of my testers knit in DK weight with US Size 6 (4.0mm), and added a few extra rows of ribbing to add height.
• This pattern has been fully tested.
