If you’re sick of walking on your feet and not your head, then turn that frown upside-down with this hat! D-Boned is crafted using four different colors of yarn, using short rows with wrap-and-turns to
work the patch of color in the round. The ribbed brim will help it stay on your head so it doesn’t drag behind you when you’re walking around, and a smaller needle size will help it do its job.

The color work in this pattern is somewhat complex; if this is your first time knitting with multiple strands, I would recommend either starting with a simpler, two-color pattern or duplicate stitching
the color chart to the completed hat once you’re done. If you go for the second option, work the color chart just in your main color as you usually would.

This hat was inspired by a widely popular video game called Minecraft, developed by Mojang. It was also inspired, in part, by one of the developers who goes by the handle Dinnerbone. I created this pattern as part of an ongoing project I’ve started with a friend, which we’ve dubbed The Raven Society. It’s a charity program designed to raise funds for Child’s Play, an organization that donates gaming materials to kids in hospitals for therapy and entertainment. If you have any questions, feel free to message me on Ravelry!

This is a free pattern, but as it’s part of a charity project to donate to Child’s Play, it would be awesome if you could do that. Donate here!

Note: I apologize for the horrible photo quality. I’ll try and get better ones soon, promise!
