This easy throw pillow is worked in a variety of Carons Simply Soft yarn. I used almost all of the colors that I had in my stash.
Why? Because the sweet old lady ( turning 95 in two weeks) loves things that are bright and colorful!
AND, she adores the Dachshund dog Bella that she owned years ago. Although dear Bella is long since deceased, Klara remembers her fondly and I know that this will make a very meaningful present for her on her birthday.
The pattern used is a simple 4-line pattern that can be done by anyone who can knit and purl. The panel with the Dachshund intarsia can be recreated by following the chart I have enclosed in the pdf.
Make the pillow with or without the dachshund motif but do make it from your stash.. it is a great way to use up the bits and bobs that seem to accumulate in the yarn room!
