Spring is just around the corner and here in the UK that also means Mother’s day will soon be upon us! With that in mind I designed this easy mug cozy pattern that you can quickly whip up to use as a gift for your mum or gran or any other special person.

This pattern uses the Suzette stitch to create a lovely texture. The cozy is designed with a loop at each end that simply slips over the handle of the mug. The cozy will fit neatly and snugly around your mug in seconds.

YARN
For this pattern I used Stylecraft Special DK for the daffodil and Stylecraft Speacial Aran for the cozy. The cozy colours shown here are Aspen and Wisteria.

YARN Substitutions
As this is a homeware pattern and not a garment you can substitute the yarn with any DK or Aran yarn. Please be aware that the fibre content may change the look of the cosy, for example cotton yarn will give a smoother look than acrylic.
