The crochet stitches include, sc, hdc, dc, tr and sl st and front loop and back loop work. The pattern includes description of abbreviations and complete instructions. The pattern includes picture tutorials to help understand the instructions if needed.
Finished Size: 7 inches (17.78cm) wide by 7 inches (17.78cm) long
Skill level: Intermediate
Materials: bedspread weight cotton thread (size 10)
16 yards peach (or choice of skin color)
20 yards melon (or choice of shirt and flower trumpet color)
30 yards soft yellow (or choice of petal skirt, petal on cap and flower petal color)
40 yards Kerry green (or choice of wings, cap tip, shoes, stem, leaf and eye color)
Small amount red (or choice of mouth color) could also use embroidery floss
2 yards (or choice of hair color) worsted weight yarn
Small amount of polyester fiberfill.
Tapestry needle
Steel Crochet hook size 1 (2.25mm)
Fuzzy stick or craft wire for stem
Washable fabric glue.
Boye Steel Crochet hook size 1 (2.25mm). This is a larger size hook than usually used with thread crochet. Size 1 hook gives the needed gauge to make the correct size of fairy and makes working with thread crochet easier for those who are not comfortable with thread.
