Dahlia

The dahlia is named after Swedish 18th-century botanist Anders Dahl. The are native to Mexico and South America and are the official flower Seattle.
This pattern is worked in the round and I use abbreviations according to US crochet language. I can provide the pattern in UK crochet language if preferred, please just contact me.
The finished dahlia is approximately 4.25” (11cm) in diameter. This flower would be beautiful as a floral display.
Tools Needed:
US size E (3.5mm) crochet hook
scissors
yarn needle
PVA glue
Yarn Needed:
DK acrylic yarn in any flower colour of your choice and leaf green.
(Colours shown are: candy pink and leaf green)
Other Materials Needed:
wooden skewer (approx. 3mm diameter and 25cm length)
