The Dahlia Flutter Tee is made from the bottom up, where you’ll create the most flattering silhouette using delicate details. The crossed double crochets create such a beautiful, airy fabric that will be perfect for summer! Oh, and the sleeves?! You can choose whether to keep this top as a tank or to add the cutest little sleeves, which are just the cherry on top!

Construction
This tee will start with a foundation chain that creates your bottom hem. You’ll then work in the round, creating the body section, until you work the pleat row. After the pleat row, you’ll continue working in the round for a few more rows until splitting for the front and back panel. You’ll work the back panel flat followed by the front panel, which will split about halfway up to create the neckline. After completing the panels, you’ll then go back to add the finishing touches of the neckline as well as the sleeves!

Schematic
Measurements in the schematic (see images) are based on the Standard Body Measurement charts provided by the Craft Yarn Council. The total circumference is written with 0-2” of positive ease in reference to your full bust. The circumference at the hem is approximately 30% larger than the circumference at the bust.

There are notes on how to customize your cardigan (length and arm hole circumference) in the pattern. Please note that any customization to the pattern will result in a different yardage needed.

This #sizeinclusive pattern was tested by an amazing group. Sizes 4X and 5X are the only sizes that were not tested.

About the Pattern
While the stitches are overall simple, the construction of this top (mainly the pleats and front/back panel) are complex. I have provided photo tutorials throughout the pattern and broken the instructions down by size to make it as easy to follow as possible. While this will hopefully clear up any confusing parts, the overall length and in depth notes throughout this pattern may be daunting for a beginner. As always, please reach out to me if there are any questions at all about this pattern!
