Earlier this month, I’d visited Raichak (West Bengal) for my husband’s (batch-mate) get together. Weather was perfect, walks were numerous. One one such walk, we saw this beautifully maintained garden with the most beautiful collection of flowers. The dahlias in particular were awesome.. I haven’t seen this range in a long time.

My humble re-creation of God’s wonderful creation.

This pattern has been tested using :
a.3-ply light fingering yarn, 75g / 427.5 yds ; 4 mm (G) crochet hook;

b. Unknown light fingering yarn , 175 gms, 4 mm (G) crochet hook , Comments : Took about 20 hrs, instructions were clear and photographs good & instructional ;
Skill level by tester : Advanced? It’s definitely not beginner (at least, a beginner looking at it would think it’s too difficult) but as with most crochet projects, it’s really quite simple once you get the pattern :)

c. colours of Vanna Glamour by Lion brand, acrylic sport weight with shiny thread ; 521 yds in total with all 3 colours ; 5 mm crochet hook ; Comments : Instructions & photos gd ; took about 15 hrs ; It was very interesting to watch this take shape. I can even see where the edges could be attached in places to make it a shrug instead of a shawl. The shawl sits on the shoulders really well and once blocked hangs nicely. Very pretty and original!
Skill level by tester :easy. No difficult stitches were used. A person just needs to take their time following the pattern. Once one understands how to work the row in each section it’s easy to just repeat that for the rest of the sections.

d. Unknown Mill end yarn ; 400 yds, G crochet hook ;
Comments : Instructions were clear, photos helpful, took 17 hrs Skill level by tester : Very difficult, but I think my pattern reading was my failure.
