Daily Diner
This pattern is inspired by my two darling nieces, Daphne and Samira. These gals are sprouting teeth and exploring their first solid foods, so I wanted to make a bib that was cute enough to be worn as an accessory, but functional enough to sop up drool and dribbles. This is now my go-to baby shower gift! It’s quick to knit up, and it can be used into toddlerhood.
CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The bib is worked from the top down starting in the round for the neck, then worked flat for the remainder of the bib. The back of the neck is worked in purl 1, knit 1 ribbing, which gives it a little bit of stretch to get over baby’s head. Finished size is approximately 8 inches at the widest point by 8.5 inches long.
NEEDLES & YARN
I used one set of US Size 5 double-pointed needles (dpns) and one skein (2 oz/57 g, 99 yd/90 m) of Lion Brand Yarns Kitchen Cotton (100% cotton), but any easy-to-launder worsted-weight yarn would be suitable for this pattern.
