DAISY
DAISY - a becoming jumper with modified drop-shoulder sleeves in plain knitting in silk. The jumper is slightly fitted without being tight (optional). All edges are roll edges. To use alone or under a pullover in the winter. Accurate written pattern. The jumper is worked in rounds until armholes. But if you prefer, it can be worked flat; instructions for that are included in the pattern. Also beautiful in cotton and/or plain coloured.
Required skill level from 1 (basic) to 5 (advanced): 3.
The measurements given throughout the pattern are all in cm as well as inches.
Sizes included in the pattern: small - medium - large - xlarge - xxlarge
Measurements of the garment (after wash - the yarn expands (ca. 5 - 6 %) in use therefore the bust measurements are quite small compared to the size):
Bust: 78 cm - 86 cm - 94 cm - 108 cm - 122 cm (in: 30.75 - 33.75 - 37 - 42.5 - 48)
Length: 60 cm - 61 cm - 62 cm - 64 cm - 66 cm (in: 23.5 - 24 - 24.5 - 25.25 - 26) or as desired
Yarn: this design applies for a 3-ply silk, 50 g = ca. 240 meters. To use 150 - 200 - 250 - 300 - 350 g each colour in 2 colours.
The original model was made in SETA, 100 % bourette silk, from Campolmi Roberto Filati in Florence (Firenze), Italy.
Needles: and circular needles (or double pointed) no 2 and 2,5 mm.
Tension/gauge in stocking st (washed sample): 26 sts on needles no 2.5 mm = 10 cm (4 in).
