Daisy and Iris or Knot socks
Some yarn full of glorious spring colours, just asked to be worked into a floral design.
These socks have been designed as fraternal, with daisies on one sock and irises on the other. If fraternal is not to your liking, pick and choose between the charts to create the pair of socks you want.
To fit with the floral theme a honeycomb pattern was used for the sole, gusset and back of the leg.
I also wanted the pattern to be inclusive for knitters not wanting floral socks, so I chose a classic Celtic knot to fill that niche.
The socks can be knit toe up with a heel flap and gusset or cuff down with either a heel flap and gusset or modified strong heel.
The instructions for the construction of the socks are written and the colour work pattern is both written and charted.
Two low vision accessible versions of this pattern are also available (“Daisy and Iris” or “Knot”) for the cuff down socks with heel flap and gusset.
Each version includes 24 point Arial all black text, no italics, no columns or tables and fully written instructions. There are charts included but the charts are not needed to complete the pattern.

A big thanks also to Renee Van Hoy (aka momcook) for providing valuable feedback and guidance on how to make patterns suitable for print challenged knitters. Thanks also to members of the Accessible Patterns Group here on Ravelry.
