This blanket was designed for a sweet baby boy who was recently welcomed by his parents in Kyiv, Ukraine, during the appalling inhuman massive missile attack. First hours of his life little Andrew was forced to spend in a bomb shelter. This is not the way the childhood should look like and all I hope is that we’ll celebrate the victory soon. DETAILS
Crochet skill level is intermediate. You will need to work front post stitches, two stitches together and clusters. All abbreviations, special stitches, and techniques are explained in detail.
You can use any yarn you prefer along with the crochet hook size specifically recommended for your yarn – the pattern will work in any size, but the size of your finished project (and the amount of yarn you will use) will vary accordingly.
For my baby version of Daisy blanket I used 9 skeins of cotton yarn (50 g = 100 meters/ 110 yards) and 3.5 mm hook. The finished size is 75x75 cm / 30x30”. However, the blanket can be easily adapted for other sizes.
