Daisy Chain is a pretty, crescent-shaped shawl which is gossamer-light and fully reversible. Beads are used to highlight the tip of each point of the border and to dot the centre of each daisy in the lace border.

The lace border is knitted first (from end to end) then stitches are picked up along its length and short rows in garter stitch are used to form the shawl into a shallow crescent. The length of the shawl can be easily adjusted by increasing or decreasing the number of pattern repeats in the border.

The photos show Daisy Chain knitted with just under 50gms/400m of Rowan Fine Lace in Era (dusty purple). Any weight yarn can be used but will affect the final measurements and effect.

The pattern for Daisy Chain includes full instructions, charted lace border, photo tutorial and links to online tutorials and resources. All this provides less experience knitters with a good introduction to lace knitting and the various techniques used in the shawl.
