I made this top at midnight before a family reunion because I didn’t like what I had brought and found a leftover ball of yarn laying around. I wrote it down the next morning for a friend and want to share it if anyone else is interested.
This pattern is made to fit your body exactly (it will hit around the waist), so gauge is not important. In fact, I have a hunch that this could be made with slightly thinner or thicker yarn, though I have not tested this.
This top is perfect for all levels. A little experience with making granny squares is suggested, but not necessary.
The amount of material needed will depend on how large you need to make it. If you are typically around a US size small, you most likely need around 350 yards, but larger sizes will need more yarn.
I suggest you make the flowers from any scrap yarn you have laying around! Mix and match the left over yarn you have to make yourself a unique looking border.
