Daisy Flower
The official name of this pattern is “Free Crochet Daisy Flower Pattern”. This little daisy motif is useful as an applique or decoration for other projects.
I’m hoping this cute, simple daisy will be exactly the design you’re looking for; but if it isn’t, you’re invited to check out our list of crochet daisy patterns and also our list of crochet flower patterns to see more choices.
I’ve used Cascade 220 wool yarn for crocheting the sample daisies you see pictured on this page. Cascade 220 is a yarn I recommend because of its resilience, durability and amazing color palette. Proper daisies require yellow or golden colored yarn, and it isn’t always easy to find that color; Cascade 220’s color line offers you multiple golds and yellows that could work well for making daisies in suitable color combinations. Of course, please feel free to work this pattern in any color combination you like; you aren’t limited to using only golds / yellows and white.
While I definitely recommend Cascade 220 as being the ideal yarn for this pattern, you can use just about any yarn or crochet thread of any size / weight and achieve great results. If you need tiny daisies for your project, use a thin, fine yarn or crochet thread; if you need larger flowers, use a bulky weight or heavier yarn.
To work this pattern, you’ll need to know how to crochet the chain stitch, single crochet stitch, treble crochet stitch, and slip stitch. You’ll also have to know how to do the surface crochet technique. Please feel free to use our crochet stitch tutorials and instructions if you need help with any of these stitches.
I welcome your feedback on this pattern, and I’d love to know how you are using it. If you have comments or questions to share, I invite you to post them on the pattern page at my website. I don’t visit Ravelry often, so if you leave feedback for me here, I am not likely to see it or answer it in a timely manner.
Thanks so much for your interest in this pattern.
