This adorable Holstein Cow Potholder can be made into a placemat by using a larger hook. It requires 2 strands held together for the head base only. All other pieces are a single strand. This is a beginner pattern.

Worsted Weight Cotton in White - Approx 240-250 yds
Worsted Weight Cotton in Brown - Approx 30-40 yds (You can substitute black for brown yarn.)
