To knit this Daisy baby cardigan sweater, coat or jacket I used 212g (350yd) of #4 yarn for 12-18m size. You will need more or less yarn depending on the size that you’re making. You can also use any yarn with similar weight like Aran or 10ply yarn with an approx thickness of 4mm.

This knit baby cardigan can be made smaller or bigger by simply using bigger or smaller needle size from 6-9m and up to 2-3yrs. This simple and effective technique of making an item smaller or bigger works perfectly because in standard size measurements, the difference between the different sizes is only about 1-2in (2-5cm). By simply changing your hook or needle size you will achieve this size difference all around. One thing to keep in mind though, tension does vary from person to person which can affect the final size. An approx. gauge is given in the pattern.
