For the 2021 Banned Books Week (Sept 26 - Oct 2), we have a scarf project that is inspired by that spoiled flapper girl, Daisy, from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby. Wrapping herself in a scarf of diamonds would suit Daisy perfectly. Here is your chance to wrap yourself in diamonds for a bit of carefree extravagance while celebrating a banned book.

The length of the scarf is entirely up to you. Keep knitting the repeat until it is as long as you want or until you run out of yarn.

Beads, beads, and more beads add plenty of sparkle to the diamonds. They also have plenty of patterning to stand alone with no extra sparkle required. Knitter’s choice.

This scarf was designed especially for pastel variegated yarns, and also will look lovely in a solid, semi-solid, or tonal yarn.

This scarf gives you lots of opportunities to make it your own.
