DaisyChain Cowl
This pattern can be purchased on Ravelry or obtained for FREE with a purchase of a single skein of Yarrow 4ply from http://www.lifelongyarns.com
Daisy Chain is a textured cowl, knit in the round. Like the daisy flower after which it is named, Daisy Chain is pretty and hardy. Panels of daisy stitch give the cowl structure and maximise the warmth from the 4ply Yarrow yarn while dot stitch sections allow the cowl to fold cosily around the neck.
Materials
Yarn
1 skein of Lifelong Yarns Yarrow 4 ply (50% Scottish Blackface, 50% BFL), 320m per 100g skein. Or equivalent.
Needles
One 3mm/US size 2.5 60cm (or longer) circular needle.
Correct gauge is less important in a cowl than in other garment patterns. If you find you cannot achieve the above gauge (or do not like the fabric you create when you do) it is easy to create the cowl dimensions you need by adjusting the number of stitches to be cast on. Increase/decrease the width by adding/reducing stitch count in multiples of 4. To add/subtract length, my advice would be to do this in the central dot stitch section, adding/reducing row count by multiples of 4.
One skein of Lifelong Yarrow 4ply should contain enough yarn to allow you to increase the size of the cowl by 10% if you wish.
