Meet Dalaniel Hästen!
It was the feature toy at the ArtToyCon in Malmö, Sweden, in July 2024. The original toy was designed by Jose David Cifuentes Ulloa ( instagram.com/josedacu/ ), and I thought it would be fun to design an Amigurumi based on his original design!
This little horse is designed after the traditional folk Art Dala horse (Dala häst) in Sweden.

Please know that it is an Advanced level Amigurumi, however, the pattern should be able to work in just about any yarn size, cotton or acrylic, but probably not exceeding hook size 4mm.

The prototype was made with a 2mm hook and Hobbii Amigo Acrylic and is 13cm tall. Using cotton 8/4 with a 2mm will get you roughly the same size.

Not sure what colour to make it? Just Google “Dala horse Sweden”, and you’ll see quite a few colour examples!
