Dallas the Donut Monster
This is a written pattern for you to make your own cute monster that loves a good donut. It is intended for the intermediate to advanced crocheter. There are photos included. UK and US terms.
I made him in Elle Cottons 4ply (156m/50g) with a 2.5mm hook.
I used 100g main colour, 20 g in 2-3 alternate colours and a small amount of black and white.
You will also need stuffing and 1 x foam hair roller 16 cm if using similar cotton. 24 cm if using thicker cotton/yarn. Alternatively a wooden or crochet dowel. There are instructions for a crochet dowel. (you will need additional yarn for it)
He measures 40cm from top of eye stalk to tip of toes. He will be bigger if you use a thicker cotton.
Some yarn alternatives:
Scheepjes Cotton 8
Mayflower Cotton 8/4
Paintbox Yarns Cotton 4ply
Hobbii Cotton 8/4
