The original pattern published in 1985 suggested DK and fine chenille yarns. In 2009, The Knitter, Issue 7, is a modern reworking using a new color palette and Rowan Pure Wool DK and Kidsilk Aura.

“..mixed yarns and colours averaging dk weight for background and fine chenille in one colour for flowers. Oddments of mixed yarns for flower centres.”
