Damask Shirt
by Vibeke Lind
The model shown is a roughly knit, loose-fitting short smock with three-quarter length straight sleeves. It is knit in rounds with firmly-twisted yarn and the neckline is edged with silk tape.
(from book)
The damask is produced by knitting and purling. The armholes and scoop-neck are steeked. The silk tape is silk bias tape.
The instructions are in the form of a diagram with measurements in centimeters and some very general instructions. Charts are available for some of the stitch patterns, but not all.
Yardage and yarn weight not provided. (Worsted would seem to fit the gauge except that it doesn’t go with the needle size.)
pp. 42-43
