Dance in the Rain
Dance in the Rain is an addictive scarf to hook that works up fast and fabulous. Worked sideways in an easy two row repeat with a raindrop edging that is worked as you go. Yes, you can add beads to the edging. For the asymmetric scarf, increase until your yarn is used up all of your yarn. For the symmetric scarf increase until you have used up 50% of your yarn and begin decreasing. This scarf can be made with any weight of yarn but changing the hook size to suit the yarn. The pattern samples were made with 240 yds/H hook for asymmetric version (49.5” neckline x 13.5” deep after steam blocking) and 294 yards of DK weight yarn with a size G hook for the symmetric version (67” neckline x 8” deep at center after steam blocking). The 4 page pattern has written row instructions and two crochet charts.
The pattern is named after a quote by Vivian Greene: Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about learning to dance in the rain.
