Inspired by the zig zag section in my Take Two Shawl.
The cowl is worked flat from the bottom up with the side ribbing crocheted at the beginning and end of each row. The top is joined by overlapping a piece of the side ribbing, working an i-cord edge and adding a decorative button (optional).

The pattern is written in US crochet terms, but uses metric measurements.

Neck opening - 52cm
Depth - 25cm

Gauge:
15 sc and 22 rows to measure 10x10cm (blocked)

Materials:
400m/185g DK weight yarn (#3)
5mm crochet hook (US H-8)
1 x 5cm decorative button (optional)
The sample used Knotty Habit, 3ply DK, 100% SW merino, 216m/100g
