The Dancing Aurora headband features a mosaic pattern reminiscent of the undulating waves of light of the aurora borealis dancing across our northern skies. Two colors take turns intertwining to create the elegant pattern. The best part of this pattern is that only one color is knit at a time, making it a perfect introduction to colorwork knitting. The headband is knit fully in the round and then seamed together at the end, creating a double layer of warmth for braving the chilly winters!

Yarn
fingering-weight yarn:
50-80 meters (55-88 yards) Color A (shown in teal)
50-80 meters (55-88 yards) Color B (shown in variegated purple)

Sizing
The total circumference of the headband is customized to your head circumference and is worn with 3” (7.5 cm) of negative ease. The finished width of the headband is 3.5” (9 cm).
