A tell tale sign of summer (at least to me) are the bees buzzing and dancing around my flowers. The center of the shawl represents the hive itself and then transitions to representations of the flora that bees seem to like.

Dancing Bees is a square shawl comprised of 4 triangles that is worked in the round from the center out. The border is knitted on.

Sizing
Pattern includes directions for a triangle, three-quarter square, and a full square. Actual size will vary depending on gauge and number of chart repeats.

Yarn Usage
You should be able to get a triangular shawl from 1 skein (aprox 800 yards), the three-quarter and full square shawls will need 2 skeins (1600 yards). Yardage estimates will vary depending on gauge and the number of pattern repeats worked.

Gauge
Gauge listed is 4.5 stitches per inch, blocked. The initial pattern includes a swatch which will measure about 7 by 4. It is not imperative that the listed gauge be achieved. Use a needle size that will result in a fabric you like. Bear in mind that significant changes in gauge will impact the final size and yarn usage.

Special Techniques
Pattern includes beads and double yarnovers.
