C2C (corner to corner stitch) is well known for blankets: you start from a corner, keep increasing until you reach desired width and then decrease until you have one block left. I like this stitch very much and I wondered: what if I use it for a hat?

This hat is crocheted from bottom to top. Starting round must be a multiple of four (4) stitches. I started with enough stitches for a standard adult size, but this pattern will work for any size starting with a foundation double crochet chain, which suits your head circumference, no matter which size of hook you use.
