Dancing Flakes Ear-flap - Falling Snow Hat
The first snowflakes falling in a storm tend to drift and wander with the wind - this ear-flap hat pattern uses strategically slipped stitches to capture the effect of dancing snowflakes. It is written for super bulky weight yarns. Malabrigo Rasta and We Are Knitters The Wool are great choices here; the simple and elegant texture of the pattern brings out the colour depth of these hand-dyed merino yarns.
Video tutorials are included for each special stitch used, so it is suitable for advanced beginner knitters.
Method:
Split-brim is knit flat, then joined in the round. Body is then knit in the round, bottom up. Cords added when finishing.
