Dancing Flames
The smell of a campfire is wafting through the air. The crackle and pop of the fire is heard. The flames are mesmerizing as they dance in the fire.
This flame stitch pattern brings to memory those wonderful times spent by either a campfire or a soothing, comforting fire in the fire place. You may even want s’mores!
Beginning as a mobius the cowl morphs into a regular circle part way through allowing the cowl to span out around the neck or shoulders. The flame stitch is a ribbing pattern with a ‘hiccup.“
Materials: The sample was made using 2 skeins of Freia Handpaints Refined Sport in colorway “Flare.” Any sport weight in solid or gradient will work well.
Beads may be placed on the picots of the bind off and are completely optional. 112 beads in either size 6/0 or 2/0 can be used.
Size: One size is given. The length is adjustable. The ribbing makes this cowl very stretchy so will fit almost everyone.
