This modification to the Dancing Grace Tote is the Dancing Grace Bee Tote. Bees and humans have been through a lot together. They can feel intimidating as they bzzzz around your ice cream cone on a hot summer day. Still, given a closer look, they are simply adorable!

This beautiful coffee inspired bag is perfect for just about anything, farmers market, coffee date, church, project bag, groceries, books, clothing, travel, or gym. Also, instead of being the normal bobble stitch design of single crochets and bobbles, I continued the griddle stitch pattern to keep the added texture flowing throughout the entire bag.

The beautiful Dancing Grace Tote design was inspired by my love for the Griddle Stitch texture and seeing Kathy’s Kozies amazing idea for her pockets. I knew I had to design something that could use the pockets and be useful for myself, my customers, my crocheting friends, and my non-crocheting friends. The functionality of this pattern makes it perfect for everyone. You can use it as a project bag, diaper bag, purse, gift wrapping bag with a bonus use, a shopping bag, and so much more. The base of the Dancing Grace Tote really helps this bag stand out from others because of the “knit” look; which is actually designed for strength. The amazing texture and sturdy handle also make this pattern stand apart from others.

Materials:
• 550 yards Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn or similar worsted weight #4 (I used Pastels, Black, Yellow, Ivory Metallic)
• J/10 6mm hook
• tapestry needle
• scissors
• 6 stitch markers

Notes:
1) This pattern is written in US terms
2) This pattern is written in rounds
3) This pattern uses the griddle stitch (see chart on page 5)
4) Chart should be read from left to right
5) Pay attention to whether or not you turn for each round
6) Join each round with a slip stitch or an invisible slip stitch, your preference. Joins are not written for each round
7) Rounds 3-49 will have 96 stitches each round
8) Rounds 50-56 will have 198 stitches each round
9) The chain at the beginning of the round does not count towards the stitch count
10) The chart diagram is on page 6
11) I changed colors for all bobbles; to have the base a separate color than the bag, change colors after completion of round 10
12) Faux leather pockets like the one pictured can be found at https://kathyskozies.com and https://www.etsy.com/shop/Kathyskozies
13) Use this fun tutorial from @knitcroaddict to line and add inside pockets to your bag https://youtu.be/uC-34T2Albs
