Dancing Honey Bees Shawl
This shawl was inspired by Dancing Leaf Farm’s Honey Bee Bouquet. It features dancing bees and honeycombs in simple lace and mosaic patterns. Gauge is not essential for this shawl, but keep in mind that if your gauge varies from the sample you may risk running out of yarn. You should have a bit of yarn left after each section. All of these leftovers are used to create a magic ball of yarn which is used for the border. I recommend at least 20g for the border. If you have less, consider purchasing an extra mini skein or two to boost your yardage. If you wish to make a larger shawl the border can be repeated as many times as you wish.
Yarn - Honey Bee Bouquet; 7 skeins, 92 yds each (20g), 644 yds total, fingering weight
Or equivalent amount of fingering weight yarn
The yarn used in the sample can be purchased here:
Dancing Leaf Farm
Finished size - 62” across the top edge, 28” deep
Other supplies: Stitch marker for written directions, kitchen scale (optional, but handy)
I’ve added a second file for those having problems printing on letter size paper. Please use the file with letter in the title.
