The shawl body is worked from the bottom point up to the cast off edge. The lace motif of the body is patterned on both sides. The border is picked up from the slipped stitch edge and knit outwards.

The body is worked in the lightest colour. The border is worked in the other 2 colours. 1 skein (60g and 200m) of each of 3 colours was used in the sample.

The shawl can also be made in 2 colours or in a single colour.

Both charts as well as written instructions are included.

We have planted “Dancing in the Rain” beside “Singing in the Rain” in our garden. They make a lovely complementary pairing. The leaves are a pale yellowish green in the centre with a blue-green margin on the outside edge. The creamy centre gradually turns whiter as the season progresses. The very pale lavender flowers bloom in late June and into July. This patch has been growing steadily the past few years and seemed to thrive, in spite of the particularly harsh winters we had the last 2 years.

The design is available either separately, or as a part of the e-book, The Hosta Garden.
