Dancing Leaves
Error in original copy…..Right below cast on, wrong side row should read k1, p1 as last 2 st in ( ).
Growing and blowing in the wind…..Dancing Leaves. Not your everyday pattern . Not all written, not all charts….something a little different.
The crescent shaped shawl has a decorative 8 stitch, 2 row repeat lace pattern on the straight edge top. Two leaf shapes, 5 leaf sizes. The lower edge gains it shape from 1increase/decrease every 4th row. The crocheted picot edged is added on after the shawl is knit.
I am presenting this pattern as a road map. I show the direction and how far to go in each row, just follow the signs along the way. And if you get lost give me shout.
All rows are knit ,so no fancy stitches with the exception of slipped sts. at beginning of rows, the top edge and the Double Stitch used in the short rows. This method for short rows is so easy. You simply knit to where you turn and do just that, turn your work. With a slight manipulation of the last stitch worked, continue you work. If you are unfamiliar take at look at this..
