The inspiration for the motifs featured in the Dancing on Common Ground design was from dancers in traditional Faroese stitch patterns. Similar dancing figures are also often used in traditional Norwegian knitting designs.
Refer to detail photo of the cowl design motifs on left. The dancers on the cowl stand in pairs holding hands in the bottom section of the cowl. The colourful triangles between the pairs decrease in size, shaping the bottom of the cowl. In the top section, the dancers are joyful, and join together, Dancing on Common Ground.
The cowl is lined for extra warmth!
