Dancing Sugar Plum Ornament
This dancing sugar plum fairy is so adorable. Her arms are constructed so that they create a natural hanging element. She can hang on a Christmas Tree, a door knob or any thing/place else you can slip her arms over.
And with all the finishing possibilities, she’s so much fun. A a great scrap buster project that is quick to make. I bet you can’t resist making more than one!
Gauge is not important for this project. I made her with worsted weight yarn and a 4 mm hook. She came out to be 6 1/2” from the tips of her toes to her “fingers”.
However you can easily change her size by using crochet thread, DK weight yarn or even chunky with an appropriate hook size for your chosen materials.
Materials:
WW yarn
Polyfil
Scissors
Stitch markers
Other
You can stitch her facial features on or you can also use any of the elements below;
Googly eyes, buttons, beads, puffy paint, felt.
Additional materials you might want to consider
Glitter, craft glue, hot glue, ribbons, bows, safety eyes, tulle and fun fur and novelty yarns
I’ve included a pic from the piece of clip art that inspired me to created this project. Maybe it will inspire you. The artist is unknown to me. If any one knows who it belongs to, I will gladly give credit to them.
My wonderful testers were inspiring and so creative. I thank them very much.
