This thick & cozy crocheted fringed cowl is a quick & easy accessory to make & enjoy all winter long. It is an easy statement piece to layer over any outfit,
for added warmth or just for fun!

It’s worked flat, then folded & sewn together. Fringe and buttons are added for flair. This cowl is a quick and chunky project, but the end look is anything but simple!

~The pattern requires a basic knowledge of crochet techniques, uses intermediate level crochet stitches (but comes with photo and video stitch tutorials!) & is written in standard US terminology.

The chunky yarn with contrasting buttons makes for the perfect neutral piece to keep you warm & cozy, and sure to keep people asking where you got your cowl! This chunky cowl is an easy piece to layer on to any outfit, for added warmth or just for fun. And its no fuss- it easily stays in play without having to rearrange and fiddle with it all day!

~MATERIALS NEEDED:
Yarn: ~230 yards of bulky/5 weight yarn
* I was working with a yarn that was actually recycled off of a store bought item, so the exact yarn will not be available, but it was roughly 100 yards per 100 gram skein.
But my testers found “I Love This Yarn Chunky,” “Big Twist Bulky,” Paton’s Alpaca Blend,“ and “Lion Brand Color Made Easy” to be great yarns to substitute into this project! Some testers also found they liked the look of holding 2 worsted weight yarns together!

Hook: M/9mm crochet hook
Buttons: I used three 1” wooden ones, but it’s customizable!

~SIZING:
one size fits all adults (or an over-sized look on kids!)
unfolded & unsewn roughly 8.5” by 45”
