Dandelion Mittens
“All that we see or seem is but a dream within a dream.”
-Edgar Allan Poe
This pattern can be found in issue four of Nomadic Knits, which is available to purchase in print through our website and at select local yarn shops, or as a digital download through Ravelry.
Knit from the bottom up in the round, these mittens are worked from multiple charts with a thumb gusset and traditional Norwegian-style shaping. On the public side, spring dandelions blossom in the morning dew, while a herringbone diamond pattern runs across the palms. Part of the Taraxacum genus, dandelions are not only entirely edible, but an important part of spring pollination for many insects. Blocking on mittens forms is recommended.
