Dandelion Wishes Socks were created as a fundraiser for Ukraine in April 2022. $10 from every pattern sale goes to a Canadian organization (i.e., Canadian Red Cross) operating in and around Ukraine.

This is a DOUBLE PATTERN: you will receive a pattern for an ankle length sock and a pattern for a mid-calf length sock with a Latvian Braid, including video links to all techniques used.

Beginning from the toe, the pattern is worked across the foot. The ankle sock pattern gives instructions for a German Short Row heel. The mid-calf length sock gives instructions for a heel flap and gusset heel and a Latvian Braid just under the cuff. Pattern includes instructions for using a contrast color or for knitting plain.

The blue, yellow and white speckled colorways are from Numana Yarns, dyed specifically for this fundraiser. Colors are Yellow - “Hope”, Speckled - “Strength” and Blue - “Peace”. A portion of each sale of these specific colorways will be donated to the fundraiser.
