My nephew and niece both love Lego and learned that word quite quickly. Danish plastic became our way of referring to Lego without the kids catching on. As of publication, they still haven’t figured it out.

Danish Plastic is a basic building block tube sock. Designed to work with almost any weight of yarn, these socks can be worked either cuff down or toe up. The lack of heel eliminates the need to know the exact foot length of the recipient. Or, in the case of children, allows for the socks to continue fitting as the feet grow longer.

The socks are not reversible as written in the pattern due to the toe.

Yarn
Actual yarn usage and requirements will vary based on circumference, gauge, and final length. 3.5-4 ounces / 100-113 grams should get you an average pair of adult socks. 1.75-2 ounces / 50-56 grams should get you an average pair of baby/toddler/young child socks.

Needles
Use needles that will result in a firm and flexible fabric. The needle size on the ball band can be used as a starting reference.

Notions
4 stitch markers
Tapestry needle
